Trundle bed cover – A trundle bed is a space saver, but a standard quilt will drag on the floor when used in a trundle bed. Excess length can be caught in the wheels when the nest under the bed, ripping the fabric and damage the wheel is pressed. Light a standard padded quilt in a covered nest shortening and adding cabinet’s corners.
Instructions to make trundle bed cover: measure the length, width and depth of the nest mattress. Calculate the length of the cover. Measure from the top, cut the bottom of the quilt. The upper edge of the finished quilt is the upper edge of the cover nest. Calculate the width of the spread. Cut the quilt this width.

Center of the quilt, the wrong side up, on the mattress with the top edge yet finished with the top edge of the mattress and the sides hanging down evenly. Smooth the sides and bottom of the quilt up to the corners. Keep this flap into place, securing along the side corners of the mattress. Remove the quilt and sew along the line of pins to a corner fitted in the nest spread.
Trim excess fabric at the corners, leaving a seam half-inch. End seams zigzag stitching on the seam allowance. Sew seam along the edges of the cover on both sides and ends. Fold under 1-inch at each end of the union. Finally, to make trundle bed cover, turn the cover right side out and place it in the trundle bed.
